Powerful and solid with a broad, round dial, the original Pasha de Cartier watch featured a protective grid, like certain military watches. It was also water resistant, thanks to a screw-down crown and a cap (attached to a small chain) that prevented water from seeping in.

The Pasha de Cartier watch was launched in 1985 to great acclaim. Celebrities in particular were drawn to its commanding style. To mark the model's 10th annniversary, Cartier introduced the Pasha C model, crafted exclusively in steel. In 2005, the Pasha de Cartier 42mm watch appeared: it replicated the generous dimensions of the original Pasha de Cartier timepiece.
