THE CARTIER COLLECTION

2002, BERLIN

CARTIER DESIGN VIEWED BY ETTORE SOTTSASS

This exhibition of 209 pieces presented an artist’s vision of the work of a jeweller for the first time. It's a new look at the design of an object, without any clear historical point of reference.

Ettore Sostass, an architect and internationally renowned Italian designer, takes an original angle on the Cartier Collection.

The display cases of the 'Cartier Design viewed by Ettore Sottsass' exhibition were based on stage designs by Ettore Sottsass.
