Cartier International Repair Guarantee

The following CARTIER International Repair Guarantee applies to CARTIER watches serviced by a CARTIER Boutique, a CARTIER Authorised Retailer or a CARTIER After-Sales Service Centre or presented for guarantee services in any country (excluding the United States of America, Canada and Australia).

Each repair or restoration of your watch is performed in compliance with the highest standards of the art and is guaranteed for 12 months, or 24 months for a complete service, from the date of repair stated in your repair documents against any defect found by our technical service, subject to the exclusions mentioned hereunder. The present CARTIER International Repair Guarantee covers the services specified in your repair documents only and does not apply for any other services.

Your CARTIER International Repair Guarantee is not a service contract and does not cover, notably:

- Defects or damages resulting from misuse or negligence, or from accident,
- Defects or damages caused by improper use (knocks, dents, crushing to the case, crystal, bracelet or strap, etc.), alterations, tampering, dismantling or unauthorised modifications or repairs, as well as services, works and repairs performed by anyone other than a CARTIER Boutique, a CARTIER Authorised Retailer or a CARTIER After-Sales Service Centre, or caused by the use of components and/or accessories other than those recommended by CARTIER;
- Battery replacement (only) when a complete service was recommended by CARTIER;
- Watches where the serial number originally imprinted on the watch case has been removed or is not clearly legible, or where any part of the original watch back or any original number has been removed, changed, altered, replaced, erased or defaced;
- Routine maintenance and cleaning, as well as the consequences of the normal wear and tear and ageing of the watch.

Please also note that the CARTIER International Repair Guarantee is not applicable in the event that necessary servicing recommended by CARTIER is subsequently not performed upon your specific request.

In order to benefit from the CARTIER International Repair Guarantee, you are required to present the original servicing invoice and/or repair documents to any CARTIER Boutique, CARTIER Authorised Retailer or CARTIER After-Sales Service Centre. Please retain your original servicing invoice and/or repair documents at all times. You are responsible for transportation costs, including but not limited to postage, insurance and packing materials. We recommend that any shipment to us include certified delivery and insurance. Upon expiration of the guarantee period, any service/repair will be subject to a service charge.

Only CARTIER Boutiques, CARTIER Authorised Retailers or CARTIER After-Sales Service Centres are entitled to provide guarantee services as defined herein. For more information and a complete list of CARTIER Boutiques, CARTIER Authorised Retailers or CARTIER After-Sales Service Centres, please consult the CARTIER website www.cartier.com, or ask at the CARTIER Boutique, CARTIER Authorised Retailer or CARTIER After-Sales Service Centre indicated on your original servicing invoice and/or repair documents.

The present Guarantee is granted by CARTIER and is in addition to any other legal rights you could have based on the relevant national legislation; the present CARTIER International Repair Guarantee does not interfere with such rights.

This CARTIER International Repair Guarantee is totally independent of the CARTIER International Guarantee or Limited Warranty given with your purchase.
